Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 September 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

Plan My Seating is operated by William Wilson (the "Seller", "we", "us"). By using the website or purchasing an unlock code, you agree to these terms and confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract.

2. The service

Plan My Seating is a seating-plan tool for weddings and events that runs in your browser. A free tier is available; a paid Planner Pro unlock code unlocks the remaining features on up to 2 devices per code. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your purchased plan. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Each unlock code is licensed for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is shown in your confirmation email and in the app. When a code expires the paid features stop working and the app returns to the free tier; your plan files stay on your own device. Licences do not auto-renew and nothing is charged automatically. You may choose to renew for a further 12 months at the renewal price shown in the app, if renewals are offered at that time; a renewal issues a new unlock code and the previous code stops working. We may stop selling new or renewed licences at any point, and existing licences simply run to the end of their 12-month term.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, including:

4. Intellectual property

We retain all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including software, documentation, and branding. Your guest lists and seating plans remain yours; you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the service.

5. Payments, billing and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Purchases are one-time payments for a 12-month licence; there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Please note that our 14-day goodwill refund guarantee is void if you have already saved a plan file, exported a seating plan (image, PDF or seat list), or filled 75% or more of the seats in your plan; each request is reviewed on its merits. See our Refund Policy for full details.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access (including deactivating unlock codes) for material breach of these terms, non-payment or chargeback, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

As is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that any seating plan will be accurate, complete, saved, retained or free of errors, or that the service will be uninterrupted or available at any given time.

Your copies are your responsibility. Plans and guest lists are stored in your own browser on your own device. You are responsible for saving and exporting your own copies. We do not provide a backup service and cannot restore lost data.

Excluded losses. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or special loss or damage, including lost, corrupted or deleted plans or guest lists, event disruption, wasted costs, or loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, however caused.

Liability cap. Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or in connection with the service or these terms is limited to the retail price you actually paid for your unlock code.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
